Shape note singing is somewhat common here, especially in very rural areas (though, even it is dying with declining populations).

Not only declining population, but a desire by a younger generation to appreciate this hauntingly beautiful chant music.

I’m drawn to it since I first heard it. Gregorian chant by monks, also music by Enya ( am I correct in that spelling? )
