When McCain responded to the nut job who made the Arab comment, I agree, it reflected his history as the hero of war hero’s for what he’s been through. He has seemingly done things and made decisions that were at times disconnected from the impact of his past. I pray that his commitment and tightrope walking as a politician emerges in the coming days with the most noble of an independent politician in which he ties the current crisis of his life to his fortune of having the best health insurance and lifesaving treatment options available. In other words, I hope McCain has a come to Jesus moment by stating that the Republican approach to the healthcare bill is grossly cruel and unpatriotic-that all Americans should have access to the care he and his colleagues have. Only then, if he is unable to overcome the cruelty of brain cancer may he eventually rest in peace.
