I elected to stay awake for mine and watch on screen along with the doc. They still put the port into my arm and told me I could get the full meds at any time … only twice did the doc release a tiny puff of relaxant(which you feel as warmth for a mini-moment) to ease the camera “around the corners” as it were.

All in all, fascinating…and I was off the table and back to my regular self as soon as blood pressure (mine is low as well) had risen enough. If you are in reasonably good health and interested in your insides, you might consider trying this!
