Fabia Wood, I am a meat eater, but I can’t imagine telling you you’re wrong for your choice to eat either less meat or no meat. That’s such a personal decision!

I am in my early 70s now, and completely healthy, as far as medicine can tell. I do eat LESS meat — primarily less beef (and it’s painful, because I love beef), and I work hard to incorporate veggies into my diet. My issue is I really, really, REALLY dislike almost all veggies. But I’ve learned that if I chop them up into small pieces and incorporate them into a sauce of any kind, they’re OK. Sort of. As long as they rest alongside chicken or fish.

Keep on doing what works for YOU. And to hell with the nay-sayers.

Oh, and Dennett? Thanks for commenting on Fabia’s story; I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise.
