For me, David B. Grinberg, it’ll always be JFK’s civil rights legislation that will stand out. I grew up in a 99.9% white town, but luckily my parents never disparaged anyone for their race, creed, color — they seemed to pretty much accept anyone. That gave me a strong base that I still believe in: We’re all human, and unless one person specifically gives me a reason to change my mind — I will give that person respect.
