TWTW-3rd week ENT101 : Beyond imagination
What if i say, you can build your own chatbot like alexa or cortana or google assistant without any coding you would call me crazy, right?
But Sijo sir proved me wrong and opened a new world of imagination and said “you can build your own chatbot with Dialogflow”.
We had an opportunity to meet Ms. Arya Murali. She is currently Director of Opportunity Project at Rethink where she facilitates guidance and support to students and help them avail various opportunities at their disposal. She is a 2016 GHCI Scholar and a 2015 WeTech Qualcomm Global scholar. Arya also leads Women Tech makers Cochin.
With the help of diaglogflow she build Anita grace scholarship help for girls.
She taught us how to build our own google assistant with the help of dialogflow.

Let’s come to my idea….
what i want to build??
One fine evening I was walking towards my favourite restaurant which usually is crowded and we have to wait around 1–2 hours to get food and a table. Then i thought what if I know the exact time when i have to go when there is table available and additionally what if my resaurant already know what i want to eat and they could prepare my food beforehand and book my table at a fixed time.
How it will add value to user?.
- it will save time, no need to wait for table or food or bill.
- it will help restaurant to prepare your food beforehand.
- less effort in paying your bills, just walk out after eating.
- no surprises in menu, you can preorder your meal.
Is it possible to built this chatbot?
It will be just like booking a cab or movie.

Step 1 : OK GOOGLE “Book my Restaurant”
Mybot : OK which restaurant do you want to book?
Step 2 : “search nearby restaurant”
Mybot : sure, here is the list of near by restaurant :
a. mallu dhaba
b. mirchi dhaba
c. urban paratha
d. Paragon
do you want to search more restaurant?
Step 3 : “no, book paragon”
Mybot : sure at what time?
Step 4 : at 8'o clock
mybot : ok your restaurant is booked at 8'O clock in paragon (address of the restaurant) . Please say yes to confirm?
step 5 : “yes”
Mybot: your booing is confirmed. do you want to prebook your meal?
Step 5 : “yes/no”.
This is just a demo. A lot of things could be added like pay beforehand, prebook a cab to reach there.
you will say hey, why I will use this app when i can order bood online.
you could order food but you canot order fun and happiness when you spend time with your loved one.
