When life is stressful and problems start appearing, it’s good to take a moment to take care of yourself. Practicing self-care is like practicing self-love. You do things that are good for your mind, body, and soul. You take care of your health and wellness. You take care of your body. Self-care gives you the time to get away from all the unnecessary stress and drama that everyone else gives you. Remember to think about yourself first and do things that are healing for you. Do what makes you feel happy, that’s very healing.

Here are some of the 20 best self-care tips that I’ve been doing in my life in the last 5 years.

1. Eat healthy.

You are what you eat. Listen to what your body wants. Consume nutritional foods of fruits and vegetables in your body. They have plenty of vitamins and minerals that your body needs to stay healthy. Be good to your body and your body will be good for you. Give your body fruits and vegetables and your body will stay healthy for a very long time. Your body appreciates you for keeping it healthy.

2. Exercise.

It’s abnormal to not move your body the whole day. It doesn’t matter what type of exercise it is. Whether it’s jogging, doing yoga, dancing, workout, or play sport as long as you’re using your body. You gain energy from using energy, as my brother once told me. You’ll feel so much better after exercising. You’re less annoyed.

3. Say no to others.

If something feels uncomfortable and not right for your soul, then say no. Trust your intuition. Don’t be influenced by other people’s constant pressure. Stand up for yourself and say no to something that’ll harm you and say yes to something that’ll heal you. Saying no to an uncomfortable plan is healthy and very healing. It means you protect your soul.

4. Light a candle.

Lighting a candle in the evening is cozy and brings a sense of peace and tranquility. It’s the gentle light from the candle that brings a mood of relaxation in the room.
