iTeach-iLove what I do

I’m coaching again only this time I’m not coaching students in a sport; I’m coaching teachers in their classroom. Golf balls and choreographed routines are not necessary for me to be successful. Even multiple devices are not necessary-though very much fun! What is necessary is a passion for teaching and a love of learning and sharing.

From the first moment all the new coaches gathered together, I knew this was the job I always wanted. I work with amazing professionals who are passionate about their job and it’s contagious. They are collaborators who eagerly share with their colleagues. They are FUN! We are truly a team, working together to ensure that technology isn’t an afterthought in instructional planning, but an important component of the instruction.

This first week in my school has been awesome. Teachers are seeking me out to ask questions and talk about working together. I am looking forward to teaching, collaborating and inspiring these teachers. There is no doubt in my mind that I will gain far more than I receive each day; that I will leave with more ideas to test out than I had when my day began; that I will be happily exhausted each afternoon and every night I will fall into bed pinching myself to make sure that this dream job is my daily reality.

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.” Mr. Thoreau, I am doing exactly that and loving it!
