We chose to show the differences between Route Optimization software and turn-by-turn navigation apps like Google Maps and Waze because that is literally the number one question we get from people unfamiliar with route optimization.

Our goal is to educate people on what route optimization is, and why it’s so important for all delivery businesses.

Most people (consumers) are familiar with navigation apps that bring you from point A to point B. As you mentioned, people use these apps every day on their phones! But many don’t really consider the logistics of a business fleet. And why should they? This kind of complex route planning is more applicable to businesses rather than consumers.

Does that make sense?

Just to clarify: We actually don’t use the Google Maps Distance Matrix in our software!
