I agree with what you say; but I think your conclusion is somewhat off topic. I don’t think anyone denies that life begins at conception. I don’t think that John disputes that either but he can speak for himself.

There is no doubt that a foetus growing in the womb is a living thing. The abortion debate is about whether or not it can be considered a human being. After all, a parasite that lives in the hair of a dog is a living thing: a virus is also a living thing. So once again the question is what constitutes a human being. That to me is the unanswerable question.
