It’s The Age Of Miracles And Terrors.
Peter Marshall

The wonderfully comfortable thing about predictions is that they have been with us for thousands of years; and only about one in a hundred ever comes true. Global warming; a new ice-age; nuclear war; ebola; aids; AI, whatever: I haven’t seen a thinking robot yet. I know they are apparently coming; but so are alien invaders and giant spiders from outer space. They warned us all about them way back.

But usually the danger to humanity does come from robots in some ways. It comes from ideology, dogma, doctrine. It does not come from machines but from people who have allowed themselves to be turned into machines.
