Yes we should get used to it. If we don’t want to get used to being offended, then we just get used to having no rights at all. Freedom of speech is the cornerstone of all other human freedoms. If you do not have the absolute right to freedom of speech then no other rights are possible.

Some people will use that right to be rude or nasty; it is sometimes irritating but it is hardly an issue. But that is a small price to pay for the freedom not to be marched into a prison camp because you speak against some sacred orthodoxy.

And some over-sensitive idiots getting upset because something offended them: well try to grow up and consider the alternatives. We do not have the right not to be offended; nor should we ever have that right.

Do you want freedom and human rights; or do you want totalitarianism. Make up your mind, because it is not an A la Carte Menu. You must chose one dish.
