According to a study done by First Research, the size of our waste management industry is greatly dependent on the amount of waste we produce, as well as the economic condition of the region. The United States has one of the biggest consumer markets, and produces approximately 251 million tons of trash every year.

Inefficiency in the waste management process is a major global problem. As populations and consequent waste amounts of waste continue to climb, untreated waste comprises over 75% of the waste produced globally. This amounts to 1.5 billion pounds of improperly treated waste product and, for many startup companies currently on the market, wasted resources with vast economic potential.

Swachhcoin’s founders believe that the solution to the problems plaguing the waste management sector lays in the smart integration of several technologies with a focus on motivating, stimulating, and incentivizing the market. They plan to do this through the creation of several different project heavily reliant on blockchain and smart contract technology.

SwBIN: Hyper-Advanced Waste Collection Bin

SwBIN Waste Management Solutions

Far from the least of these innovative projects, SwBIN is a new form of waste collection bin being rolled out by the Swachhcoin Foundation, a startup organization pioneering a revision to the existing structure of waste management. As a part of a much larger set of projects by the company, SwBIN seeks to provide people with more opportunities to dispose of their waste safely and efficiently, and to provide existing waste management facilities with the chance to implement a more cost effective and green technology in their own collection process.

The bins are the collection modules in the first phase of a multi-layered smart collection protocol created in the Swachhcoin ecosystem. These waste bins will be distributed to collection centers which currently exist, who will then be allowed to place the bins in the areas around their physical facility.

Developmental History

First developed in the second quarter of 2017, SwBin was conceptualized along with its partner projects, including SwIot, SwaTel, and SwaTa. Initial testing within market conditions occurred in Q3 of the same year, and was followed with an extensive feedback and reconciliation process. The project is largely a result of an extensive collaboration project with technical advisors which became involved in the developmental process in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Crafting a more efficient and effective user experience is a major component of the SwBIN project. The foundation plans to use real-time geo-locating technologies to feed data to users, making it easier than ever to find the nearest SwBIN while the user is in an unknown or new location.

Future Development

The continued developmental process of the SWBIN technology is going to be reliant on several things. First, the ongoing Initial Coin Offering will help to fund and contribute to the organization’s efforts to innovate and reform their current technology. In addition to funding the Swachhcoin project, the decentralized crowdfunding operation will give buyers access to the functionality of the coin once the currency becomes a functional part of the Swachhcoin ecosystem.

Conclusion

On the user side of the process, SwIBIN is an integral step in simplifying and expediting the waste collection process. Rather than a standalone fixture, the project is a small part of a much larger effort by Swachhcoin to revolutionize the existing waste management industry.
