Wanna know how we ended up with Trump and Hillary?

I honestly believe it comes down to one word.

Texting.

Yep. That simple creation is withering away the fabric of this good ole United States of America.

Wanna know why?

Because texting has conditioned society to think short-term. It’s sooooo much easier to just text…or not text back.

And BOTH candidates know how to capitalize on that.

But before I make this too much about society, or you, let me get honest and be super clear about me.

I hate texting.

Now, hold on. Before you take me off your text list…hear me out.

I hate texting because I prefer verbally connecting.

But, apparently talking is becoming soooooo 80s.

It takes wayyyyyyy too much energy to talk. Right?

Well, I honestly believe both Hillary and Trump are capitalizing on our laziness.

I mean, think about it.

If people are too lazy, or too “busy,” or too fearful to actually pick up the freaking phone, how in the world are we gonna rally together and maintain our civil and human rights?

Uhhhh…that kind of stuff takes connecting.

Ask Martin.

Ask Mandela.

Ask Ghandi.
