AN UNUSUAL POWER 2
The history of medicine is about anatomical discovery and often accidental or resisted breakthroughs that have accorded improved treatments. Medical history tends to be written through a series of ‘great personalities’ leading steadily towards the present ideal. Medical ideas are rarely critiqued.
Modern day treatments are accepted, usually without digging deeply into the techniques, the supplied always optimistic data, or conclusions. My work ‘An Unusual Power’ seeks to unravel the huge monoliths of medical success and failure, showing, where possible, when ideas are sound and when merely accepted as the result of set-beliefs and propaganda.
