In the crook of the arm

Lay down your sleepy head

My bambino

Hours you could sleep

Till I eased my arm away

Softest pillows cannot replace

The crook of the arm

The homeless on the pavement

The lover and the seductress

The sibling rivalry peaks

For the crook of the arm

As I lay my head I mused

How the costliest pillow

Can’t replace the crook of the arm

Even if it’s one’s own.
