What are your thoughts on “cutting scenes” in VR films?

Cuts are a fundamentally cinematic way of telling a story. They were invented for cinema and evolved with cinema. Plays & books don't have cuts, they have scene changes and chapters. Games don’t have cuts, they have levels. They are all different ways of telling a story, with their own visual languages.

VR is a brand new medium, and the language for storytelling in VR does not exist yet. This is what we need to invent — to fit the specific capabilities of VR. Stories don’t change, but the way we tell them will need to.
