Hmm. Just disagree on 1 point. RTE may not be the entire policy but it has been most destructive for states with very dismal education indicators. The budget private schools were filling a very critical gap. I don’t think the state machinery is even strong enough on UP and Bihar to improve the state of education quickly. In the meanwhile shutting down of the private schools ecosystem is proving to be disastrous, more so for these states.

I actually feel strongly about RTE because I have more faith in market than govt.
