Dear Mom

Schizophrenia is a mental condition in which a person confuses the real world with the imaginary world, causing them to act strangely and unexpectedly.

This book deals with this particular condition. It is a real-life story of the author’s mother. The story revolves around a woman named Hansa who is suffering from schizophrenia. The story begins with the author’s mother being admitted to the hospital. His mother’s coma for 21 days made him realise her significance and her true value in his life. He wanted to apologise for the way he had treated her in the past.

Dear Mom

This book is a memoir. The language used is easy but it is definitely not a light read. The underlying message is clearly conveyed, i.e., start appreciating and giving time to the people around you before it’s too late. Given that this is a true story, the author’s first book was written in agony and sadness, it was a good attempt.
