I disagree that colleges and universities should be treated as places to learn a trade.

For the employer there is still a problem. For a school you paid them to learn how to think. For an employer I am paying someone to teach them how to do, then I have no control over if they walk out the door the next day. Can you imagine if the government said you could take ‘training loans’ and the company was paid regardless of the out comes? That’s how student loans are function.

Field's that don’t pay would be anyone who received an education and then ends up unable to comfortably support themselves. You mentioned several of them were in dire fiscal straights but are experts. What’s fields are those?
