Google Fiber Was Doomed From the Start
Susan Crawford

I know there was a government run effort for rural electrification. My understanding was until the 1930s, AT&T put in most of the country’s telephone infrastructure on it’s own dime, and while the government regulated what they could do, they still paid for all of it. Cable was completely self funded by cable companies. I guess why is it this time no company can handle it? Are business so short sighted now they can’t see a long term profit?
