Could drones protect India’s women from rapists?
World Economic Forum

The idea is interesting, but is this product idea meant for tourists or the local population? You start out by raising the very big question of whether a personal camera drone might “protect India’s women from rapists” but then halfway thru, the story switches to providing these types of drones at a cost to tourists.

Am I failing to see how providing drones to tourists would help protect India’s women?

Did you mean to imply that the the revenue generated from tourist sales/rentals would subsidize the cost of drones for local women? Or perhaps that the increase in tourism revenue, by making tourists feel safer and attracting more people to visit would be wisely used to increase security for Indian society as a whole?
