  1. What did you do this past week?

This week I just kept up with assignments and tried to stick to my schedule as close as possible. I also celebrated my last Halloween at UT since I will be graduating this Spring. I have also been working on a side project that I hope will get traction soon. My set release time is before 2020, but I am not sure if I will finish it.

2. What’s in your way?

The biggest thing in my way is my neck. I recently got into a slight fender bender and my neck has been sore ever since. This has been the biggest hindrance to my productivity. I will probably go see a doctor soon if it doesn’t let up.

3. What will you do next week?

Essentially what I did this week, and hopefully fix my neck. My goals over the next coming weeks is to just stay focused and keep increasing the hours I spend working on my side project.

I also recently saw a documentary called Game Changers on Netflix, it’s about the benefits of being vegetarian. Although I probably won’t become vegetarian anytime soon, I will try to start healthier habits in the next coming weeks.

4. What was your experience of the vector implementation? (this question will vary, week to week)

It was interesting. It reminded me of how Scott went over the ArrayList class in Java during 314. It was very specific, but I enjoyed how clean C++ can be when used properly. I found the automatically created constructors to be funny, at least how Dr. Downing had put it.

5. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My biggest tip-of-the-week is consistency. The most significant factor of success in anything you pursue is how consistent you are. Even if it’s a little time allocated a day, those things start to compound exponentially. Stuff tends to start slow, but once you have some working knowledge of whatever you are trying to pursue, you’ll begin to progress quickly.
