…Writing a Letter of Gratitude to my Darling Mummy for giving me Uncountable Lollipop moments…

Piyaari Aummi!
A belated letter is on your way…just to give you some compliments for the countless things and efforts you did for me, for the unconditional love that I have been receiving since my birth, for the extreme patience you showed towards me, for guiding me to the right track, for raising me as a well-behaved child and then a person, and for so many other sacrifices and endeavours which nobody remembers and nobody acknowledges…
Recalling the retro events of my life, I come across the days when you used to teach me reading Urdu & English; when you used to teach me counting and then simple mathematical calculations; when you used to teach me Aayat al Kursi and other Surah; when you used to work on my handwriting; when you used to teach me English grammar…
I remember the days when you -my darling taught me how to offer prayer, how to brush my teeth, how to keep myself clean, how to dress my self, how to behave in a good manner in front of elders, teachers, guests and strangers, how to serve tea/cold drink (with respect) in front of elders, and how to make stitches on cloth...
You -my sweetheart, were my guide, my mentor and my instructor who has left an undeniable impact on my life; I have learnt so many life skills just by unconsciously observing you, such as cooking (along with the sub-skills -frying, roasting, blanching, baking, making salads & cooking desserts etc.), washing and ironing clothes, and decorating our home…
You have proved yourself to be an amazingly delicious person of my life by cooking the most hygienic and the tastiest food on earth. You have always listened to the problems of my life with patience and interest. You have been the source of so many lollipop moments in my life. I’m incredibly grateful to God for giving you as my mother, and to you as well. Please accept this humble token of gratitude from your loving daughter.

Immense love,
Syera Sobia
