We’re starting something new to help you stay safer online, #hackerdrills.

Why Hacker Drills?

Maybe you remember a time in your school days practicing fire, tornado, or even earthquake drills inside of a school. We’ll in the digital world we have a lot of various threats and one of those comes from individual or networked individuals who want something that you have — your personal information, the goods in your crypto wallet or anything else they might find valuable.

As our community grows, many who join will be newer to the world of Web3, digital wallets, and the safety precautions that are required to allow you to keep having fun online! And even as veterans of the Web3 world, new hacking methods may arise, and we just want to help everyone develop a mindset that helps you keep your valuables online safer. We know that we won’t be able to teach you everything — but we do hope these #hackerdrills will allow you to learn from each other.

What’s a Hacker Drill?

Across our Discord and Telegram platforms we will run a #hackerdrill just like a fire drill, at any time of day, at any time of the week.

When does it start?: You’ll see the above image posted and it will only be posted from an admin or team member

What do I do?: A written scenario will be posted immediately after the #hackerdrill image, followed by the question, “What would you do?”. Choose to answer in the POSITIVE or NEGATIVE.

Participation: Read other responses and leave a reaction:

  • 👍 = You’re safe!
  • 👎 = You’re not safe!
  • 🤷 = Don’t know! You could be safe or you could not be safe…

That’s it!

But there is more…

🏆 The Drill That Rewards !

Just for fully participating in the drill, we’ll randomly draw winners who will receive a free Ledger Nano S from us — YUP YOU READ THAT RIGHT!

What Else Can I do to Stay Safe?

#1. Ask our community and community managers on Telegram and Discord, be careful of the tactics that are used to get your personal information, wallet address, or that ask you to click on an unfamiliar or new link.

#2. You can complete Ledger Academy from Ledger.com. There are 9 videos you can watch that explain the details of using a Ledger/Cold Wallet to help you keep your digital goods safe online.
