It’s not like likes were ever a metric of quality on Instagram or any other platform. As an artist there is an obscenely high chance you’ll get thousands more likes on a napkin sketch of Pikachu then you ever will on a six month oil painting masterpiece of your aunt or whatever. With writing people tend to like what they agree with and doesn’t challenge them. Instagram is surreal though. I follow this one woman who uses face editing apps so heavily she looks like an extraterrestrial; occasionally a nonaltered photo will slip in and it looks too human to be her.
