Rando-what? If TikTok isn’t your scene, allow me to catch you up to this past summer’s hottest outdoor activity, particularly for its connection to paranormal and eerie events. An app called, Randonautica, encourages you to get outside and explore your surroundings given a random set of coordinates, then report on your experience through the Randonaut subreddit community. The app asks for quite a bit of info before sharing the coordinates — your location and preferred radius, your quantum point type (anomaly, attractor, void, pseudo), your random number generator “entropy source” (if you’re lost on these terms, it’s okay because everyone…

We are here, we are alive, and we are more inspired than ever!

It’s been over a year since we’ve published any content on the topic of reducing screen time. We’ve decided to heed our own advice and take some much needed time away from our blog and followers. In this time, we doubled down on refining a product concept we intended to launch on Kickstarter at the end of last year. However, we have since put this on pause to focus our efforts towards an exciting new product that more closely aligns with the growing needs of achieving screen-time balance during this pandemic.

As some of you may have seen through our…

Recently, I got the chance to see one of my favorite comedians live — the rising star, Ali Wong. She’s made quite the name for herself in the Asian community as a frisky, sexualized, and feminist comic with her Netflix stand-up shows exposing the realities of pregnancy, relationships, and being a mom. She’s been particularly in the spotlight starring in the adorable Netflix rom-com, Always Be My Maybe.

When I had the chance to see her live here in San Diego, I couldn’t resist. The excitement built up as we stepped in line at the Balboa Theater ready to show…

First off, Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, step-moms, mother-in-laws, and soon-to-be mamas out there! This has been a long awaited day personally for me as May 12th was actually my estimated due date. Little did I know, I would not be in the hospital anticipating the birth of our little one, but instead admiring our daughter in her peaceful slumber as I’m blogging after a milking session about a decision that’s been on my mind for the past 9 (or 10 if you want to be technical) months: how do I manage my child’s social media presence?

As…

Our voters weighed in last week in the semi-finals of the first ever Live Offline Sweet 16 Activity Bracket. We’re down to the final two, where “Go on a hike” and “Call up a close friend” will duke it out for the championship. Are you one to connect with nature or humans? We certainly see solid advantages to both: hiking offers a fresh change of scenery for most and a boost in step counts if you’re tracking. However, calling up a close friend can be both therapeutic for your mental health all the while strengthening a relationship.

Correction, Beyoncé: we’re talking specifically Camp Exec Girls. In celebration of International Women’s Day, this post is dedicated to the 34 Girl Scouts and 20 female mentors who took part of this past September’s Girl Scouts Camp Exec in San Diego. Even more, these 54 women were the very first to be part of Live Offline’s Spark bracelet pilot during an unplugged weekend away from TVs, laptops, and phones.
