The World athletics have happened and I wanted to recap the results of the Women’s 200-meter final, as well as some notable highlights from the women’s finals, Jackson, Richardson, and Thomas, from last night’s event.

In the women’s 200-meter final, Thomas and Jackson emerged victorious, leaving a significant gap between her competitors as she came off the bend. Unfortunately, her competitors were unable to switch gears when coming off the bend and had to play catch-up. While Jackson secured the win, she appeared somewhat disappointed with her time. Like any athlete, one can assume she had hoped for a world record. Nonetheless, in my opinion, she performed exceptionally well.

During the semifinals, it was apparent that Richardson seemed to take it easy to secure her qualification. She didn’t unleash her full potential, holding back. However, in the final, when coming off the bend, she shifted into high gear, displayed excellent form, and the home stretch reminded me of a great athlete.

Now, regarding Richardson’s placement, she was in lane 9, which I’ve mentioned before can be challenging. She ultimately finished third, with Thomas taking second place. For those unfamiliar with the 200 meters, it requires different levels of performance and gears for various parts of the track.
