Really great question! We wrote the syncing capabilities for our editor rather quickly, and our test coverage is not where we’d like it to be. We are constantly working to improve this, but unfortunately we did not catch this particular bug with unit or integration tests.
Hello! Yes :) We just released version 2.14 which has the fix in it! Open the App Store on your phone and update the Medium app and your word loss problems will be a thing of the past! Thanks again for reporting this bug, I’m so glad we could get this fixed quickly for you and everyone who writes on Medium using their iPhone.

The Signature is supposed to be used in case the customer claims “fraud” in order to cheat a retailer out of money.
