Asphalt 9 : Legends is finally here!

If you were also glued to the Play Store and the App Store awaiting the launch of Asphalt 9 : Legends, we have some good news. The wait is finally over! We could not wait to get our hands on it as well!

First Impressions? You guessed it, the game is LIT.

The Ferrari on the landing page (first screen of the game) looks gorgeous and the background simply glorifies the overall scene.

As soon as you start the game for the first time, we are supposed to enter a few details and immediately after that we are taken to an ongoing race where we are introduced to a new type of controls which has auto turning and we can “swipe” on the screen to change directions and a few other options. This is definitely a good option for people using small-screen devices or devices which heat up a lot because now the game does not require us to keep the device in hand at all times. It can simply be kept somewhere and we can just swipe to turn the car around. Not a lot of fun, but a good option nonetheless!

But hey, don’t worry, we can enable our good old ‘tilt’ controls from the Settings panel. There are also new 3-D style icons for the Nitro Boosters among other things.

There is also a quote (we hope there are more) which we loved! It says, “Good players win races. Great ones break records. Legends change the game.”

The quote is apparently by an “Anonymous Driver”, which in itself has a mystery surrounding it.

There are loads of new things in the game. The most noticeable among them, however, is the new “Spin” option while racing. We can Double Tap the part of the screen which is used to Drag and the car literally spins in the middle of a race! In short, it’s epic.

Another major update is the new Tasks/Missions screen, which has numbered objectives and we need to complete all of them in order to unlock the next “car” in the list.

Note : The game was tested on the latest iPad Pro 10.5 inch with Highest Graphics Quality settings enabled. The video was produced at 1080pHD to prevent any quality loss. It cannot get any better!
