Life is too short to regret, isn’t it? You could rather enjoy a meal or just sit and whine about it.

Some of us may feel like the airline food is too overcharged and overhyped leaving us all unsatisfied. And the rest of us may always enjoy it. For the ones that are never satisfied its time you stop worrying about how much you dislike the boring airline food because this perception is going to definitely change.

But, how is it going to change?

Well, a new flight has just landed in the city of Ludhiana that is located in the state of Punjab in India which will change your entire impression about airline food.

Let’s meet — The Grand Hawai Adda. (UDTA PUNJAB as the locals call it!)

Grand Hawai Adda in India (UDTA PUNJAB as the locals call it!)

Hawai Adda is Punjab’s first airline based restaurant. An idea turned into a reality is what this restaurant can be defined as.

It is a joint venture of four cousins, who had the urge of doing something innovative.

Hawai Adda, a scrap and retired Airbus A320 that has been converted into a lavishly beautiful vegetarian restaurant that has a bakery along with a kitty hall and café. This air bus was a part of the official airline carrier of India.

It took about a year’s time to maintain and refurnish the entire aircraft, that now holds 72 guests at a time and is parked at the Verka Milk Bar premises. Within the aircraft, you’d find creative interiors, plenty of space and freedom and a comfy dining experience on a whole.

The cuisine served in this restaurant caters to mainly Indian and continental tastes and the on average cost for two people would be around Rs,1500/- that is exclusive of any taxes and charges.

Believe it, the innovation will just leave you mesmerized and hit your senses. It is honestly that creatively beautiful.

Inside Grand Hawai Adda

When someone asked one of the owners, Parampreet Singh Lutra, regarding the inspiration or idea behind this? He replied saying that their biggest inspiration is the Maharaja Express (which is a luxurious food and travel experience provided in a train in the capital city of India — New Delhi) and wanted to do recreate something from the same category.

Hawai Adda isn’t the only airplane restaurant in the world, but the only one in the whole of India. There are few more such ventures worldwide.

· Lily Airways — A converted Boeing in China, that is transformed into a western themed restaurant.

· DC-6 Diner — A cargo plane in UK, converted into a restaurant serving aviation themed menu.

· McDonald’s — Located in New Zealand, MCD decided to add a decommissioned aircraft as a part of their premise. The plane is themed with red and white colors and guests can enjoy burgers and fries.

So, now you know where you can go for a beautiful date with your partner and enjoy a 3 course meal in one of the most beautiful airplane restaurant?

Savor a meal just in the airplane style, but in a better quality and experience only at Hawai Adda.
