Tyler Mongan

The entire argument is based on "business as usual", develop and exploit resources.

The entire argument is based on "business as usual", develop and exploit resources. This is problematic at a time that we are in "overshoot" in the extraction of non-renewable resources such as fossil fuels. The implications here is the same, grab and go. If the Arctic turns blue, keep going with built in contingencies. If it stays white or returns to white the short term (by what standards?) reverts to today and maybe those clever apes who have been having a free picnic at the expense of the planet will have to adjust to a finite planet with an increasing level of thermal pollution and material exploitation.
