You may chalk up what I am about to say to personal preference, although I do not. Taylor Swift is nowhere near as talented as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis, Ella Fitzgerald, Adele, Radiohead and thousands of other musical artists who have received acclaim over the last century. It is one thing to tap into a popular vein of the American psyche. It is quite another to be a great singer or composer. Swift is unlikely to become either of those. That leaves shifting units and filling seats as metrics, neither of which indicate a great artist. Wrong priorities here.
