I see this as an already obsolete idea.
a) Over-unity energy (harnessing electromagnetic fields) is already in development, as is anti-gravity technology. I’m not sure if “100% efficiency” is even a relevant notion in open systems where nothing is being burned.
b) Nuclear fusion has the greatest chance of rendering the entire planet uninhabitable, given that the spent fuel just piles up on site because politicians can’t agree on a plan to either store it safely or shoot it into space.
