Advertising in Transport: Tools and Their Effectiveness

Advertising in transport is shaping the future of different agencies, and companies. This kind of advertising, also advertising that is placed in or on various modes of public transportation. These advertisements can also be placed in public transportation areas with the intent of reaching out to riders who might be interested in your brand. Advertising and marketing is a crucial component to any company that expects to grow and evolve. However, different modes of advertising can be implemented by a business to increase their return on investment. The tricky part is identifying the best method to adopt in a business to be more active and to reach a higher number of intended audience.

Some of the tools used in transport advertising include paint jobs, screen, flyers, as well as signs.

Paint jobs

Paint job ads have been in existence for the longest time. However, working with this tool is very restrictive as it restricts the vehicles from changing to different brands. It’s attributed to the amount of work put in getting the paint job as well as the resources spent. As such, brands prefer going with other alternatives when it comes to advertising. Additionally, paint job ads are limited mainly to the exterior parts of the vehicles on which they are found. Such ads are useful because passengers can view them before they board the vehicle as well as all the other people in the streets where it is.

Screens

The use of screens is probably one of the most interactive ways of advertising due to the live images and video ads that keep on playing on them. However, this mode of advertising is expensive and subject to vandalism which can incur massive costs to repair. These ads also require compact reinforcement to keep them safe from the vibrations coming from the vehicles.

Signs

There are different types of signs, and they come in different sizes as well. Some of the most popular signs used in bus advertising include:

King and Queen Signs — these ad spaces are attached to the exterior part of the transport vehicles using aluminum frames, and they are usually the biggest of them all.

Tail signs — these are the signs that are located on the rear part of the vehicles. These signs are beneficial especially when other vehicle users are stuck behind these vehicles in traffic.

Interior cards — these signs are generally smaller in size and can only be seen by the riders of the vehicle. Interior cards are usually placed lining the top parts of the bus windows. These ads can be customized based on the frequent users of that specific route to reach a greater audience.

Wraps

Wraps, as they are referred to by many in the advertising industry, are ads that wrap an entire bus with the theme of a specific brand. As such, these buses are impossible to miss whenever they pass by.
