I Still Love jQuery — And You Should, Too.
Sam Oldenburg

The main problem with jQuery is that it prevents you to understand better Javascript and DOM. I started with jQuery, and because of it, I actually delivered code on time. But eventually I realized that I’m writing an unmaintainable spaghetti code without knowing what is going on under the hood. So my advice to all new Javascripters, learn Javascript fundamentals first, and then use jQuery or any other view library (VUE, React).
