Bedloo is a multiplatform app that is available on the web, iOS and Android. The premise is voting between two options. It allows users to compare photos, videos or pieces of music side-by-side. It seems that a two-choice voting business model is a simple one, but Bedloo’s team found a way to generate a huge buzz around the app and reach 20 million dollars valuation. Let’s see what they did to accomplish that.Voting on bedloo questions is as easy as swiping the “vs” circle left or right. Votes are counted instantly and are available to share on social hubs. The comparison questions can be easily embedded into any site or blog post, which allows it to go viral faster.

Bedloo works very closely with artists, primarily hip-hop. Last year Bedloo was shown in two video clips: Migos “Versace” and DJ Khaled, Jay-Z & Rick Ross “They Don’t Love You No More”.

Also there was a battle that HOT97 radio station launched using Bedloo, the battle was between Chill Moody and Lady Gaga. Incidentally, Chill Moody won.

Another direction of Bedloo’s street promotion is sport. This is a big part of its promo activities. Lebron James turned to social media to help him choose which number he will wear when he returns to the Cavs. James’ Bedloo vote has gone viral and just passed 4 million voters with the question Which Number Should I Wear? Lebron’s fans are voting on the No. 6 or No. 23 for his jersey when he returns to Cleveland.

Bedloo does not simply sponsor sports games; it also helps to increase engagement for fans. Ben Bercovici, Fox Sports producer, says “It was great working with Bedloo today. It was such an incredible experience with the team, the actual program itself, the activity between the game and fans was just incredible”.

Marcos Maidana, a boxer, entered the ring in a Bedloo T-shirt recently.

TV shows are the part of Bedloo promotion. And it appeared even on The Daily Buzz.

Bedloo’s team loves music and parties. They conduct their own parties on a regular basis and use it as a promotion channel, because people love parties.

“Everybody I hope you say Bedloo! Bedloo!”
