So we are back to the false narrative that the genetic engineering process is the same as traditional breeding and cross breeding. It’s not. It’s not even close. You are moving in circles. Even so there are concerns about a number of modern machine harvestable varieties of various crops. However that is irrelevant because those are not engineered products. They are at worse guided nature.

Best engineering practices should be followed with engineered products. GMOs are engineered products. But because scientists are doing the engineering they follow the woefully inadequate for product development practices of scientists. Practices that were developed to see if things like the latest physics experiment was done correctly and is repeatable, not to create safe products.
