The ex-Tsar of Russia allegedly got a teenage girl pregnant during an affair outside of his marriage. Before tying the knot with Princess Alexandra of Hesse-Darmstadt, the adored granddaughter of Queen Victoria, Nicholas II had a romance with the dazzling prima ballerina Mathilde Kschessinska, who gave birth to five of his children. Recently unearthed documents from a Russian vault contain Mathilde’s admission in her memoirs, penned many years later, regarding her pregnancy by the eventual tsar.

In 1918, following his abdication, he and his entire family were tragically murdered by Bolshevik revolutionaries. According to her memoir, she briefly took care of the royal infant in 1893, shortly after their discreet romantic involvements had commenced. She disclosed that she suffered the loss of the child in a horse-drawn sleigh overturn in St. Petersburg, the capital of the country at that time.
