Get Canva Pro for free — For Educators
You all know Canva, right? It’s the easiest and most popular design tool that rivals Adobe. While it’s not as comprehensive as Photoshop, you can accomplish most of your design tasks with it. In this post, I’ll share how you can use Canva Pro for free without using your credit or debit card.
For that to work, you must be an educator at an accredited educational institution (K-12, college, or university) with a school-issued email address ending with .edu. You’ll need to provide proof of your educator status. Once your application is accepted, you can invite your students to join a class or team within the platform, allowing them to access Canva’s premium features for free as part of the educational setup. In case you don’t have a school-issued email ID. You can simply ask someone around you who has one. No trouble :)
Process
Moving on, as the first step, search for “Canva for Education” on Google or head directly to this link.
This will lead you to the Canva for Education page. Click on the “Get Verified” button as shown in the image here:
You’ll see multiple sign-in options. Click on the “Continue with Email” option at the bottom.
In the field provided, enter your school-issued email address ending with .edu. This verifies that you are an educator at an accredited institution.
Canva will send a verification code to your school email. Check your inbox, find the code, and enter it in the prompt on the Canva page.
After email verification, you’ll need to provide some personal details. Enter your information accurately and click “Confirm”.
Canva will take some time to verify depending on your network speed and their servers, and hopefully in a matter of moments you should receive a popup notification confirming your details have been verified. You now have access to all of Canva’s Pro features for free.
If needed, you can invite your students to join a class or team within Canva. Share the invitation link or send email invites to your students. This allows them to collaborate on projects and use Canva Pro features for free as part of the educational setup.
