Here is a crazy dialogue I had with a deeply conservative and pro gun colleague

Him: The government wants to take our assault rifles because thats the only thing stopping them from doing something stupid

Me: What Stupid thing? Besides that is the beauty of democracy, you can vote them out. How can they do something that majority of people do not approve off

Him: No the democracy is broken, its the right to defend ourselves that is keeping us from a tyrannical government…….

I guess you can see where this is going. It really is not that hard to have gun control but we will have to stop listening and empowering to the crazies.
