The Devaluation of The Black Child in America Will Always Be a Solemn Promise
Ezinne Ukoha

It sickens me to see so much hurt caused by people who should know better, who should be trained better. Cry “wolf”, as the story goes, and people stop believing you. But cry “black” on a 911 call and they’ll just keep on coming locked and loaded. Worse still, after somebody is needlessly wounded or dead, rather than admit wrongdoing people will rush to find a way to make the victim look like that wolf or to use their own racist fear as justification, making it all the easier to repeat the next time.
