
Your Authority Website
I want to give you a quick primer on what you need to do on your website to make sure that it’s great for building authority and converting leads.
One of the things I used to struggle with was having great clients with sucky websites. So we fixed it by building a website design template.
The First Elements Your Website Needs
The first thing your site needs is a picture of your lead magnet.
When someone visits your site, they should have a chance to get it right away without any need to scroll down.
Next, below the lead magnet, you should include credibility indicators.
These can be names and logos of the clients you work with. This is great for building some trust and credibility.
The 3 Main Offers
The main thing I want to show you right now is what we call The 3 Main Offers.
There are three types of people that come to your website: visitors, warm leads, and hot prospects. You need to provide a different offer for each one of these groups.
The Green Offer for Visitors
First, there are visitors.
They are cold traffic and they are skeptical.
The best offer for visitors is the green offer.
In our case, the green offer is our lead magnet — the free thing that we give away in return for an email address.
The Orange Offer for Warm Leads
The next group is made up of warm leads.
The lead is someone who comes to your site and you already have their details.
They’re not skeptical anymore but they’re curious.
For our warm leads, we use an orange offer — our conversion tool.
It can be a webinar, invitation to an event, or an option to book a call with you.
The Red Offer for Hot Prospects
The third kind of visitor that comes to your website is the hot prospect.
This is someone who is already in your sales pipeline and ready to go.
For hot prospects we want to provide a red offer — a “join my program” type of offer.
So on every page on your website, regardless of whether they are on your blog or elsewhere, you should see the three offers: green for cold, skeptical people; orange for warm prospects; and red for hot prospects.
