A Year In Review: Features We Love

It’s been one year since we launched our app in Nashville! With one year under our belts, we’re looking back on some of our top app additions.

As we continue to grow, we’re constantly looking at customer and Provider feedback and enhancing the product to make it the best possible app for people to use. The startup world is fast-paced and ever-changing and we’re loving every minute of it.

Five of our favorite features from Takl’s first year.

In honor of our one year anniversary, we’re taking a look back at some of the features we’ve built. Here are some of our favorites:

Now vs. Scheduled

Here at Takl, we understand how valuable your time is. This is why from the very beginning we’ve strived to create a platform that works with your schedule! Whether you’re a planner or a procrastinator, we can help you take on your to-do list on demand. “Now” jobs (within the hour) are perfect for those unpredictable occurrences where you need help fast. You can also schedule a job up to a month in advance for a time that fits into your busy schedule.

Build Your Own Job

We introduced the Build Your Own Job category in September of 2016, less than two months after our initial launch. This feature was born entirely out of customer feedback. Everyone is different and sometimes there isn’t a simple one size fits all category for a job you need done. With the Build Your Own Job category, you can get your unique needs met and bundle jobs together. All you need to do is choose a size and write what you need done, snap a few photos, and submit your job!

+Add Work

Our +Additional Work feature was one of the first new features we knew we wanted to add before our initial launch. Once a Provider arrives to your location, you have the option to add any additional work you might need done at an agreed upon price. Get more bang for your buck, and knock multiple things off of your to-do list at once! In June, we revamped the +Additional Work feature and made it so that you could add additional work in the middle of a job instead of after it is completed to make it more convenient for both customer and Providers.

Counter-bidding

We introduced Counter-bidding in April of 2017. Using an auction format, this feature allows providers to post competitive price bids for custom jobs after a short time has passed and a job has not been taken. We love this feature because it helps customers get their jobs completed faster and gives providers the potential to earn more.

Re-ordering

In January of 2017, we introduced our re-order feature to make it even easier for a customer to re-order a job they had completed previously with Takl. Look at your past jobs in the Jobs tab, and re-order any previous job as-is or add changes. There is no need to re-enter information making it easier to re-order a house cleaning, lawn mow, and more!

With so many updates & new features in one year alone, the sky’s the limit for us as we continue to grow. We’re excited to continue our quest to help make customers’ lives easier while also bringing work to thousands of Providers across America!
