Recently, I’ve noticed an increasing number of services that generate blog posts using AI. As someone who works in AI development and frequently uses AI for tasks like translation, I’m well-acquainted with the technology. However, when it comes to content creation, such as writing blog articles, I still believe that human thought and structuring produce higher-quality results.

In this article, I’ll put the much-talked-about SEO WRITING.AI to the test and evaluate the quality of the content it generates.

I decided to try out only the “1-Click Blog Post” feature. SEO WRITING.AI offers a free plan with the following features, making it easy for anyone to try out:

  • Up to 5 content generations, with a total word count of 5,000 across all articles
  • HumanizerTool for rephrasing content to sound more natural, with up to 5 article rewrites
  • High-quality AI-generated images
  • Automatic citations

Give it a try and see how it fits your needs!

I entered the keywords first, then clicked the ‘Generate Title’ button, which produced the title ‘Creating Websites with Next.js: A Beginner’s Guide’.

Second, I ran the process with most settings left at their default values, but you can adjust some of the core settings as shown in the picture below.

I pasted the generated article at last of this article, with a total of 1,276 words. It has been pasted here exactly as it was generated, without any modifications or updates. Additionally, after generation, you can edit the content and see a score indicating how ‘AI-generated’ the text appears.

As for the editor’s features, I must admit I’m not entirely satisfied. Firstly, as a technical writer, I would like to include mathematical equations, but this functionality is not supported. Although this is somewhat understandable, another essential feature, code blocks, is also missing. Additionally, I wanted to embed slides. However, when I tried pasting a SlideShare link, it unsurprisingly did not work.

Given these points, it’s unlikely that this tool will be a ‘silver bullet’ for content creators. Furthermore, the generated content did not meet my expectations at all.

Since the article is aimed at beginners learning Next.js, it’s good that it covers the framework’s features. However, readers might expect a comparison with other frameworks. Additionally, it would be beneficial to include installation instructions specific to different PC environments and provide sample code. (As mentioned earlier, since code blocks are not supported, it’s unlikely that the AI would generate them.)

The term “step-by-step” is used, but it’s unclear which parts of the article are presented in this manner. For content at this level, such details might not be necessary. The FAQ section appears to be a strong point, suggesting that short, question-answer formats work well with AI-generated content.

In summary, these are my impressions of using SEO WRITING.AI. While there are some useful features, it seems unlikely that I will use it for the content I post. I believe that brainstorming ideas with tools like ChatGPT and creating content manually will result in higher quality outputs.
