talent.io raises €8M to become Europe’s #1 recruitment platform for tech profiles 💥🙌✌

There’s no milestone quite as important in a startup’s life as getting funded.

That’s why we still have a vivid image in our head of what talent.io was when we first closed our €2M seed round in 2015 . This was a mere two months after Amit, Jon, and Nicolas founded the company with the hope to radically simplify the way tech talent land jobs in Europe.

At that time, we were:

  • A 6-person team, including 3 founders and 3 early employees
  • Running operations from a few desks we sublet from a fashion communication agency
  • Serving tech talent and clients from the Paris area only

That first funding allowed us to grow quickly within 2 years. Internally, to about 40 people. Geographically, to 3 additional cities including Berlin, London, and Lyon. And our offering, to serve freelance positions. We were also able to renovate an old-fashioned office in Le Sentier, Paris and turn it into our new home, a great space that allows us to sponsor weekly events and meetups.

We can’t overstate how excited we are for closing our €8M series A round, led by our existing investors Jérémy Uzan at Alven Capital and Audrey Soussan at Ventech. We appreciate their renewed vote of confidence in our team, passion, and mission.

By 2019, we plan to match great tech companies with great tech talent in 10 different cities all over Europe, becoming this continent’s go-to site for finding jobs or hiring tech talent.

What’s next?

Over the last 2 years, we have proven that our business model is robust, scalable, and adaptable to various countries. Our ambition is to push harder in this direction: by 2019, we plan to match great tech companies with great tech talent in 10 different cities all over Europe, becoming this continent’s go-to site for finding jobs or hiring tech talent. In parallel, we will expand our scope to help talent with diverse technology background and skills, such as SAP, cloud, CRM, video games, VR, and others.
