Nonviolence is a current theme in my reflections. Since the last year I resumed my practice of Aikido (which started in 2001 but faced an hiatus of about 13 years) and become very interested in the study of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), systematized by Marshall Rosemberg. Both Aikido and NVC share principles about how to deal with harm and what to do in the verge of conflict.

The trick is don’t give up, don’t even give in, simply prevent harm altogether.
Yeah, I couldn’t agree more. At the same time, I guess that this is one the toughest practices I’ve ever started. I guess I stumbled upon something that I’ll pursue for the rest of my life :)
