Where do I earn $$$ with my stories? | Rise of the Digital Writing Platforms.

I am a locally published romance novel author and I have a total of 7 stories that got published traditionally. It was a nice experience, and let’s face it, not everyone gets to have their stories published and turned into books that can be sold in bookstores.

But times have changed. It’s been a few years since I focused more on publishing my works digitally and just let them stay digital. There are a lot of opportunities that came to me doing so and I am sharing some platforms or websites that I know are paying writers for their works.

There are two types of contracts these companies are offering — EXCLUSIVE and NONEXCLUSIVE. I have put the links to these websites so you may know more about them.

DREAME — This is the first platform that sent me an invitation in 2019. I put some of my works on their website nonexclusively at first and I still received advance payments. I am currently an exclusive writer of Dreame and since 2019, I have already received almost $2000 in revenue and I am still going to earn more monthly.

They already have many writers under them but they are still constantly looking for more.

INKITT — I have been on this platform for a few years now and even though I wasn’t part of their programs for their writers, a writer friend of mine is and she’s earned from it. They have different earning programs for their writers.

Inkitt is one of my favorite platforms because the readers there are less toxic and I kind of love the vibe of the website.

HINOVEL — When I received an email from an editor in Hinovel, I wasn’t sure if it was legit at first because it’s the first time that I heard about them. But they are actually legit. Although I have some TAGALOG stories published in their platform nonexclusively, they are leaning more on ENGLISH stories right now.

I have earned more than $700 on this platform and my editor here is super duper accommodating and responds quickly.

NOVELNOW — I don’t have a lot of information about NovelNow yet and I haven’t received any royalty yet but it’s just been about two months and some writer friends say they’ve earned thru the platform’s ads revenue. They don’t give advance payment for nonexclusive stories.

This seems like a promising website.

GOODNOVEL — I have signed some stories under this website nonexclusively and while their website looks really nice and user friendly, they seem to be not big on updates and such. They haven’t even marked my stories COMPLETE which is one of the requirements before they send me the advance payment. It’s been two months and I just let them be.

You might want to check them out, still. Maybe it’s just me.

Check more details at this link.

BABELNOVEL — I love the look of this website. I have signed a few stories under them nonexclusively. They respond to queries quickly and they answer all my questions and explains everything well. They also offer exclusive contracts.

I already received $100 as advance payment from them.

Get the app thru this link and register.

FINOVEL/FAMEINK — This platform is quite popular. I put 2 stories with them non-exclusively and while I haven’t been paid yet, I can see the progress of what I am earning thru my account. They don’t give advance payment for both contracts but for non-exclusive stories, they give as much as 50% of the royalty.

Register thru this link and wait for an editor to contact you.

BONUS!

WATTPAD — This is actually the first platform that I put my stories, this is where I also got discovered. This used to be a free writing and reading website but they now have WATTPAD PREMIUM which users can pay for no ads interruption reading and writers are now getting paid thru PAID STORIES. But stories are selected.

Disclaimer: Some of these platforms base the payments of the stories thru the reads of the stories in Wattpad or from other platforms. Some are accepting new stories even without reads from other platforms.

Let me know if you have questions thru comments and I will do my best to answer.

Thank you and goodluck!
