The Acceptance of Singledom
chris peak

We meet again, Peak — this time on a (comparatively) less depressing topic than the previous one. As someone who feels similarly about their singledom and values in a relationship, I’d be particularly curious about your experiences on OKCupid, as the great majority of my high matches are people who don’t give one, let alone two flying fucks about engagement rings, marriages, minivans, or progeny. This is by design, as I’ve answered my match questions specifically to surface the types of people who are as cynical about traditional dating norms as I am. I also find that these type of people don’t tend to use other dating apps, as it’s impossible to vet someone for those characteristics over 300 characters on Bumble. Or if they do, shit, I just have no idea how you’d find them.
