Informal Interview

An informational interview is an informal conversation with someone working in an area to whom you know and who will give you information and advice. It is an effective research tool in addition to reading books, exploring the Internet and examining job descriptions.

I conduct an informal interview from an employee of Packages Limited who is working as a Assistant Manager in Tax Department. His name is Mudasser and he is very experienced person because he worked in many organization.

I call him and give him an enthusiastic greeting (my introduction etc.). After this I describe my status that I am a student of B.Com (Hons.) from Hailey College of Commerce, University of the Punjab. After my graduation, I want to applied for a job in your company in the field of Marketing because I am specialized in Marketing. To give all the information about myself I come to the topic and told him the purpose why I call him. I said, I want to conduct an informal interview in which I want more knowledge about your organization. The purpose to get knowledge is that I want to applied for a Marketing job and before this, I want to know more about the Organization e.g. their culture, their working routine etc. and I want to know your Experience at Packages Limited. Their answer his very interesting. He said, Packages is a multinational company. Before joining the company, I am a Chief of Account at Inter wood company and their I am a Assistant In-charge but I join this for two reason. The first reason is, There is a little bit difference of salary and second one is that this is a multinational company and whenever I applied for a job in any organization, it will help me to to get the job easily, and their answer about the Organizational culture is awesome. He said that if you want to applied for a job, Packages is best choice because of the commitment of the company toward the employee which help the company to retain the employees loyalty towards the organization.

The answers of Sir Mudasser is very informative and I learned a lot of things. The most important thing which I learnt is the experience of Sir Mudasser and their commitment about the Job and also how much importance is the job of a Multinational company in the market. The most beneficial thing of informal interview is to create a good relationship which help us in future to get job in that organization where the interviewee worked.
